Matic Rebec of Slovenia had another reason to celebrate: his MVP award

Dynamic Slovenia point guard, Matic Rebec was voted MVP of the U16 European Championship Men Division B in Strumica after another fantastic performance for his side in the Final win against England.

The 1.79m point guard averaged 15.3 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.3 assists as well as 2.4 steals every contest and led Slovenia to a much celebrated promotion to Division A.

He was joined in the All-Tournament Team by Israel guard Naor Sharon, who narrowly missed out promotion with his team while averaging a tournament best 5.6 assists per game.

Nedim Buza of Bosnia and Herzegovina featured in the selection as well as England duo Mo Soluade and Kingsley Okoroh who also could celebrate their team's promotion to elite level.

The Fair Play award was awarded to Professor Ilija Jankov.
